About the position

Council’s Digital and Business improvement Department is looking for a Continuous Improvement Officer who will be at the forefront of enhancing operational efficiency.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing Council’s short and long term transformation strategies in relation to continuous improvement to ensure Council’s ways of working are fit for future;
  • Supporting the organisational objectives around continuous improvement and service redesign through documentation and validation of both current and future-state business processes; and
  • Contributing to the development of business knowledge, process maps, systems interfaces and business needs.

This is a permanent full time position.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of implementing enterprise continuous improvement services for a large and diverse organisation;
  • Technical expertise in process improvement techniques, requirements gathering, critical thinking and analytical thinking;
  • Experience in being part of a highly motivated, resilient and flexible team with a positive mindset;
  • Well-developed investigative, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
  • Well-developed report and business writing skills;
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of major business process improvement and service redesign;
  • Proven ability to manage complex continuous improvement projects and programs; and
  • Strong project management capabilities, and experience in change management

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $93,402.72 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
