About the position

Due to an internal promotion, Council’s People & Culture Department is looking for an Organisation Development Advisor who will play a key role in supporting Frankston’s culture and capability ambitions. Reporting to the Coordinator, Culture & Capability and working in collaboration with the Culture & Capability Team, this role will support the planning, design and delivery of key Organisational Development initiatives.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing specialist advice, guidance and coaching to Managers, Coordinators, and employees across Council to support their growth and build their leadership capability, team engagement and culture - finding a balance between delivering on the organisational development needs of the organisation today and supporting key projects which will set our future organisation up for success. 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of key culture & capability initiatives that focus on embedding the FCC Leadership Capability Framework and FCC Values including, but not limited to, reward and recognition, performance, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion and wellbeing. 
  • Support the annual design and delivery of ‘Your Voice, Your Workplace’ Staff Engagement Survey. 
  • Support the organisation’s transformation strategy. 
  • Lead and facilitate activities with leaders, managers, and teams that support the growth and uplift of key capabilities.


This is a Permanent, Full-Time role. 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of organisational development programs and frameworks that help shape successful organisational culture.
  • Strong project management  and planning skills that support the implementation of organisation wide frameworks and initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills that ensure you build strong relationships with key stakeholders.  You thrive in a collaborative environment and understand the value in working closely with other teams and individuals across a diverse organisation to enable success.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are confident in communicating to large, diverse groups.
  • You enjoy consulting with key stakeholders to determine needs, propose solutions and facilitate conversations to deliver effective outcomes.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $98,130.72 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
