About the position
Our Business and Information Technology Department is seeking a Systems Administrator who will oversee the support and administration of Council's network and core applications, ensuring system availability, security, and optimal performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for business and corporate applications to ensure uninterrupted system operation.
- Managing and maintaining Council’s SQL database infrastructure and VoIP system, including upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborating closely with the Network Administrator to support a secure and efficient IT environment and deliver exceptional service.
About you
We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with:
- Proven expertise in SQL database management, network support, and application troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Formal qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelor of Computing, MCP, MCSE) and experience in network administration, Microsoft products, and VoIP systems.
- Experience or understanding of Local Government Systems such as Pathway, Chris21, IPS is preferrable.

This position is a Band 7A currently remunerated at $109,416.26 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
